Regina November CEU Lunch and Learn

Out is the New In: Designing Workspaces that Foster Natural Connection

    Course Description:
The human body was made for connection - connection to mother nature and all of the health-infusing, mood-boosting benefits she has to offer. But let’s face it, people spend most of their waking hours indoors; at the office, in the car commuting to and from the office, at home catching up on email from the overflow that wasn’t accomplished at the office.
And since ‘the office’ is becoming the place we spend our days (and sometimes even our nights), it is becoming incredibly important to design workspaces that promote happiness, health, and productivity, through the purposeful infusion of biophilic design.
This CEU educates participants on why people need a strong connection to nature at work, the benefits of making these connections through purposeful design, and the tools architects and designers can use to bring the indoors out and the outdoors in in both practical and inspirational ways in the future.

  • Regina Lunch and Learn

    September 25th, 2019, 12:00PM-1:00PM

Regina is holding a lunch and learn on Immersize Planning put on by Knoll.

The research study revealed a workplace that is dramatically different than one of just a generation ago. Knoll found five significant factors that contribute to a new way of working and drive new thinking about the work environment.

Based on the findings, a new way to think about space has been identified. Defined as Immersive planning, the model not only blurs the lines between work, life and play, but also individuals and teams, primary workspaces and activity spaces, and owned and shared work areas and tools. Comfortable furnishings and fluid boundaries characterize this group-based workplace where the actions of the people themselves define the space. The result: an environment that creates a variety of experiences, transforming at a moment’s notice and evolving with use.

RSVP no later than September 19th to your local lunch and learn corrdinator.
