    PROPEL has been revamped and it launched today!  PROpel is an interactive national competition created exclusively for emerging professionals, providing the opportunity for engagement in discussions and connections with influential representatives in the interior design community.

    The Sitting Experience (IDCEC Approved) takes participants on a journey far beyond the usual focus on outward posture to the innermost design and function operation of the human body; and the crucial qualifications of a chair to support that design. Attendees will see 'the sit' from the 'inside out', from nerves to neurons and from muscles to marrow; giving an original, fresh look at the sitting experience!

    To all IDAS Students & Interns: Did you know that by being an IDAS Student or Intern member you are eligible to participate in IDC’s PROpel program?

    PROpel is an interactive national competition created exclusively for emerging professionals, providing the opportunity for engagement in discussions and connections with influential representatives in the interior design community. The goal is to bring together and engage students and interns.

    IDAS Members have been very involved with the PROpel program – we have had 7 winners from Saskatchewan every year since the program began, taking them to Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto.

    Interested in becoming more involved with your national association? This is your opportunity!     

    IDC's Nominating Committee, chaired by Clinton Hummel, Past President, IDC, is currently seeking candidates to stand for nomination to the IDC Board for the following positions:

    Director at Large – nine (9) positions (three one-year terms, three two-year terms and three three-year terms).

    If you qualify, or know someone who qualifies, and are interested in submitting a nomination, please complete the nomination form no later than May 31st, 2018 and return to communications@idcanada.org.

    Course description:This course explores how manufactured interior construction solutions speak directly to the challenges designers face in developing and operating K-12 and higher education facilities. The advantages of faster project delivery; cost and time savings; quality control; and the ability to anticipate and address health, safety and welfare concerns all strengthen designers’ ability to create engaging, fl exible spaces that extend and strengthen the lifecycle of an academic building.
