Becoming an Interior Designer in the province of Saskatchewan requires a combination of education, experience and examinations recognized by the association. Registered Membership is the highest level of qualification in Saskatchewan, ensuring members who have achieved the title of Interior Designer meet all the standards and adhere to the professional ethic of the association.
Graduation from a CIDA-accredited Interior Design Education program
Minimum of 2 years (3520 hours) of qualified interior design work experience by CIDQ.
Successful completion of the NCIDQ examinations.
Registered Members are also required to participate in ongoing continuing education through IDCEC, have professional liability, insurance coverage and pay annual dues.

Intern Members of IDAS must successfully complete the required supervised work experience and hours set forth by CIDQ. This work experience must be earned and confirmed by a Direct Supervisor and/or sponsor. (https://www.cidq.org/paths)
Examinations: Upon successful completion of ther interior design education and work experience, Intern Members shall apply for and pass all three parts(IDFX,IDPX and PRAC) of the NCIDQ examination
to become Registered Status
After obtaining all the requied education, work experience and passing all three parts of the NCIDQ exmination, members are eligible to apply to become a Registered Member with IDAS. Only once an applicant is approved by the IDAS Council can they use the title “Interior Designer” in the province of Saskatchewan.
Registered and Interns actively participate in continuing education initiatives,and meeting the minimum requirements set forth by IDAS. Registered members must continuously enhance their knowledge, skill and experience through their career.This dedication ensure registered members remain at the forefront of industry advancements,delivering unparalleled value and excellence in their practice while maintaining the integrity of our regulatory body.
